QMA does not ask partners to endorse the service or replace their own technical advice. The objective is to make the distinction between laboratory evidence and QMA interpretation obvious to the end user.

What a laboratory partnership can offer

Customers continue to obtain and pay for laboratory testing through the laboratory. The laboratory remains the source of the analytical results and maintains its existing relationship with the customer.

QMA extends the usefulness of that laboratory report by converting eligible test results into a practical, customer-facing Soil Amendment Plan. QMA preserves the laboratory’s reported methods, values, units, and other relevant information, then evaluates those results against method-appropriate nutrient targets and the customer’s intended crop or growing area.

Where amendments are indicated, QMA translates the identified needs into practical quantities of naturally focused amendments for the customer’s actual growing area. Existing nutrient levels, soil pH, and the overlapping contributions of selected amendments are considered before additional materials are recommended.

For the laboratory, this provides an opportunity to offer customers a more complete path from testing to implementation without requiring the laboratory to develop and maintain its own natural-amendment recommendation system. The laboratory provides the analytical evidence; QMA provides the interpretation and application planning that follows from it.

Laboratory customers and customers who come directly to QMA should receive the same scientific safeguards and the same QMA service price unless a separately approved partnership arrangement states otherwise. The objective is a consistent service in which the laboratory’s work remains clearly identified and the customer receives practical guidance for putting those results to use.

Serve customers asking for natural amendment options. Laboratories can provide customers with a path to naturally focused amendment recommendations without developing and maintaining their own database of amendments, nutrient contributions, application calculations, and safeguards.

Reduce the interpretation burden. Questions about how much amendment to apply, how one amendment affects several nutrients, whether existing nutrients should be credited, or whether additional laboratory evidence would materially help a future decision can require considerably more work than producing the laboratory analysis itself. QMA is designed to handle that next layer of interpretation.

Provide a consistent customer experience. QMA applies the same scientific safeguards whether a customer reaches QMA through a laboratory relationship or comes directly to QMA. This helps ensure that partnership customers do not receive a reduced or simplified version of the service.

Keep testing decisions independent. A laboratory partnership does not change QMA's standard for suggesting another soil test. Additional testing is suggested only when it could materially support a defensible amendment decision, and the decision to purchase another laboratory test remains with the customer.

Add capability without changing the laboratory's core business. A QMA partnership allows a laboratory to offer customers access to a more complete soil-test-to-application process while continuing to focus on what the laboratory does best: producing reliable analytical results.
