Your soil pH is 6.9. Phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, sulfur and the reported micronutrients do not require additions. The report shows 50 ppm nitrate nitrogen. Potassium is 226 ppm, already within the laboratory’s stated range but 24 ppm below the 250 ppm midpoint used by QMA.

Amendment Recommendations

Nitrogen: add no nitrogen. The measured nitrate result and the laboratory’s general annual N guideline are not treated as a measured-to-target relationship.

Potassium: if the customer chooses the optional midpoint adjustment, use verified greensand labeled 0-0-3 at 5.6 lb for the entire 105 ft² bed.

Other nutrients: add no phosphorus, lime, magnesium, sulfur, boron, copper, manganese, zinc or iron.

Avoid: complete fertilizer, manure, wood ash, K-Mag/langbeinite, bone meal, fish bone meal, rock phosphate, and other unnecessary nutrient sources.

Application Instructions

Confirm the product label identifies greensand and guarantees 0-0-3.
If choosing the optional adjustment, weigh 5.6 lb.
Spread uniformly across the full 3 ft × 35 ft bed.
Avoid piles and concentrated material near strawberry crowns.
Before planting, mix lightly into the surface. For established plants, avoid disturbing crowns and shallow roots and water the material in.
Record the product, analysis, quantity, bed and date. Do not repeat automatically.

Why These Amendments Were Selected

Greensand supplies potassium without guaranteed nitrogen, phosphorus, magnesium or lime, making it suitable for a small optional potassium adjustment when the rest of the soil does not need correction.

QMA deliberately rejects amendments that would add nutrients or liming value the bed does not need. The plan therefore emphasizes restraint rather than creating a larger amendment program.
